Doon Library and Research Centre Newsletter
The Doon Library and Research Centre came into existence when it was registered under the Societies Registration Act and became functional on December 8, 2006 when its present premises in the Parade Ground were inaugurated by the then Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Hon'ble Shri Narayan Datt Tiwari.
Along with the library, a research centre devoted to studies on the Himalayan areas of the country in general, and Uttarakhand in particular, is being developed. The library already has over 11,000 books on its shelves and subscribes to over 50 journals in the social sciences and humanities. Digital Himalaya is delighted to co-host this informative yearly newsletter.
